The Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce wants to keep you safe and stop the spread of Coronavirus. Here's how you can help:

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick, even at home.
• Wear a cloth face cover when you go out in public, for example to the grocery store. The cover is to protect others in case you are infected.
  • Do not use on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance. Do NOT use a facemask meant for a healthcare worker.
• Keep about 6 feet between yourself and others. The cloth face cover is not a substitute for social distancing.
• Cover your coughs and sneezes! with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow if you do not have a mask on. Throw tissues in the trash and wash your hands immediately or use hand sanitizer if you are unable to wash your hands.
• Clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily including tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks. Then, use a household disinfectant. Most common EPA-registered household disinfectants.
• Be alert for symptoms of sickness and take your temperature if symptoms develop. 
• Follow CDC guidance should you develop symptoms.

REMEMBER...

• Some people without symptoms may be able to spread virus. Avoid gathering in large groups.
• You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick.
• The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person: through close contact (within 6 feet or so), through respritory droplets (via talking, sneezing, coughing, etc.), and by people who do not know they have the virus, but are carriers of it.
