Ross Rubino Named to Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce Board
PARK RIDGE, IL – Ross Rubino, DDS, FAGD; principal of Rubino Dentistry in Park Ridge and a near-lifelong resident, was inducted into the board of directors of the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber’s annual meeting on January 14, 2014. This will be his second time serving on the Chamber board.
Rubino has operated his dental practice in Park Ridge since 1978. He served on the Park Ridge Chamber board for five years in the 1980s and has remained active in the Chamber since that time. One of the many professionals who are raising a second generation here, Rubino has been a Park Ridge resident for nearly 60 years, having moved here at age three. He attended Mary, Seat of Wisdom and Maine South schools and he and his wife, Terri, have raised their own family here. He has been active in the community, particularly in sports with his five children.
Rubino earned a B.S. in Natural Science from Michigan State University in 1972 and his B.S. in Dentistry from University of Illinois, Chicago in 1975. He received his DDS from University of Illinois, Chicago College of Dentistry in 1977. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society and was awarded a Fellowship by the Academy of General Dentistry in 2000. Rubino is involved with his professional associations and has been a leader in mentoring and alumni programs. He is on the UIC College of Dentistry Alumni Board and is currently President.
His practice is fully computerized and he is proud to note that Rubino Dentistry has had computers in all treatment rooms since 1986, intraoral cameras since 1990 and digital X-rays since 1994. He has a keen interest in adopting new technologies as they are proven and looks forward to sharing his long-term knowledge of the Chamber for its future growth.
